Position Details Reports to the Sr. Operations Manager Support a team of over 5 associates, contributing to a collaborative and high-performing business unit environment. Business Accountabilities and Operational Management Supports business and sales objectives through the effective and efficient management Supports the Key Leadership Team with on-site support in the same facility/vicinity to foster in person communication between themselves and the remainder of the key leaders. Supports day-to-day business process and function. Job Duties & Responsibilities Implement and maintain company policies for the Industrial business unit. Implements operational efficiency improvements which may include, but are not limited to, standardization of systems, quality control, safety, site selection, facility design, and customer satisfaction. Manage the internal audit process to ensure compliance with organizational standards. Identify and implement process improvements based on experience and findings. Develop and recommend specific courses of action based on analysis of data to ensure we are striving toward proper data driven decisions. Maintain the safety and security of the Branch in accordance with OSHA standards and carry out all policies, rules, regulations, and procedures set by the organization. Support the development of branch leadership through coaching and mentoring opportunities. Lead associates, implement processes, and policies to profitably, maintain and grow market share, sustain customer loyalty, and provide opportunities for growth. Identify new opportunities for cost savings. Facilitate and develop standard operating procedures. Participate in leadership meetings and represent associate concerns, policies, and guidelines to the management team. Conduct regular associate and branch leadership meetings to promote change leadership and continuous improvement. Represent the organization to customers, associates and leadership as needed. Collaborate with the shared purchasing center to assist in managing purchasing and inventory control activities Grow market operationally through facility additions, changes, and HR moves to promote growth. Facility management and approval of maintenance needs or changes for business and market needs. Business Process Review to manage locations to meet company goals in accordance to process and inventory requirements. Advise and support business unit, district, industrial division and company initiatives. Coordinate fire and tornado drills, maintain the Emergency Action Plan, oversee facility safety, ensure safety supplies are stocked, and complete monthly safety inspections for branches Manage all ISO activities, including Intelex reporting, facilitating monthly MMR meetings, monitoring warehouse compliance areas, and supporting successful internal and external audits. Process branch credits promptly and coordinate with sales, warehouse, and operations to ensure returned materials are properly restocked, returned, or scrapped per policy. Provide backup support for daily invoicing, reviewing invoices for pricing, cost accuracy, and freight charges. Maintain accurate and organized administrative records and ensure proper file retention and disposal in compliance with company policies. Order warehouse, office, and packaging supplies through approved vendors; utilize Oracle for purchasing and inventory functions. Ensure completion of daily Powered Industrial Truck inspections to maintain safety and audit compliance. Upload and maintain Material Test Reports (MTRs) in Square 9 and/or Metal Trace for accurate documentation and traceability. Support daily coordination between branches to ensure timely response to requests and uninterrupted service. Assist with IT support by troubleshooting equipment issues and coordinating replacement or return of outdated hardware. Provide on-site operational support, including assisting with warehouse tasks, shipping needs, and occasional local deliveries as needed. Qualifications 5-7 years industrial related industry experience Ability to apply knowledge and skills with understanding of external environment factors. Experience providing expert advice, coaching and counseling within field/function area. Exceptional ability to organize and prioritize work. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Demonstrated ability to develop and deliver effective presentations to groups at multiple levels of the organization (associates, branch leaders, GMs, etc). Proficient in Microsoft Office software (Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, etc.). Ability to effectively use Ferguson's inventory and logistics system (Trilogie). Pay Range $4,743.90 - $10,436.80 Estimated Ranges displayed are Monthly for Salaried roles OR Hourly for all other roles. This role is Bonus or Incentive Plan eligible. Ferguson complies with all wage regulations. The starting wage may be higher in certain locations based on local or state wage requirements.
