- Wednesday: 9:30 AM - 8:00 PM
- Thursday: 9:30 AM - 8:00 PM
- Friday: 9:30 AM - 8:00 PM
- Saturday: 7:30 AM - 4:00 PM
Key Responsibilities
- Perform MRI examinations according to physician orders and departmental protocols
- Position patients and MRI coils appropriately for optimal image quality
- Complete MRI safety screening and verify patient eligibility before scanning
- Educate patients regarding MRI procedures and safety requirements
- Evaluate image quality and ensure timely transfer to PACS systems
- Accurately document imaging studies within radiology information systems
- Schedule exams and maintain patient tracking records
- Assist radiologists and physicians during imaging procedures when required
- Maintain MRI suite cleanliness, organization, and operational readiness
- Monitor equipment performance and report maintenance concerns
- Adhere to MRI safety standards and infection control protocols
- Perform administrative and clerical duties as needed
- Participate in continuing education and professional development activities
- Graduate of an AMA/JRCERT-approved Radiologic Technology Program
- Active New York State License in Diagnostic Radiology
- ARRT (MRI) Certification
- Current BLS Certification
- Strong knowledge of MRI Physics, Cross-Sectional Anatomy, Human Physiology, and Diagnostic Imaging Principles
- Minimum 2 years of MRI experience
- Hospital or acute care experience
- Experience with PACS and Radiology Information Systems (RIS/IDX)
- Strong communication and patient care skills
- New York State License in Diagnostic Radiology
- ARRT (MRI) Certification
- Basic Life Support (BLS)
