Advanced Cardiac Cath Technologist RCIS

Join a dynamic cardiovascular team as an Advanced Cardiac Cath Technologist specializing in invasive diagnostic, interventional cardiology, and electrophysiology procedures. This part-time role involves operating and ensuring the quality of image processing, patient monitoring, and x-ray equipment. You will actively participate in daily lab activities, assisting in scrub and monitor roles to support patient care.

Education & Certifications

Current ACLS and BCLS certification required. Certified or eligible Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) preferred. Candidates with RT-R certification and 1-2 years of experience in invasive diagnostic or interventional cardiology procedures will also be considered.

Experience & Skills

Strong ability to assess patient needs and respond appropriately, with thorough knowledge of medications, emergency procedures, and medical equipment. Must be capable of initiating emergency actions within scope of practice and legal guidelines. Excellent communication skills, both oral and written, are essential. Ability to maintain composure in high-stress situations and work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team including radiologic technologists, nurses, and cardiovascular technicians.

Physical & Work Environment

Work involves medium to heavy physical activity, including moving equipment and patients, with exposure to ionizing radiation. Must be able to lift up to 100 lbs and frequently carry objects up to 50 lbs. Wearing lead-lined aprons for extended periods is required. The role demands good hearing, clear speech, visual acuity, motor coordination, and manual dexterity. Flexibility with scheduling and willingness to be on call are necessary.
