Director of Finance (CFO Track)

Morrisville, NC | On-site | $150K–$170K base + bonus

Parable Talent is partnering with a growing, family-owned hospitality company in the Raleigh-Morrisville area to find their next Director of Finance.

This isn’t a “keep the books clean and stay in your lane” role. Our client wants someone ready to step into the CFO seat within the next 2 to 3 years. You’ll report directly to the CEO, lead the Controller and accounting team, and have a real voice in how the company grows.

What you’ll do

• Partner with the CEO and ownership on budgeting, forecasting, labor management, and strategic decisions
• Own month-end and year-end close across a multi-entity hotel portfolio
• Lead annual budgets, cash flow projections, and capex planning
• Support acquisitions, refinancing, due diligence, and new hotel openings, including construction draw oversight
• Lead corporate tax planning and compliance across affiliated entities, working with outside CPA firms and auditors
• Manage treasury, liquidity, banking relationships, and lender covenant reporting
• Build presentations and analysis for ownership, lenders, and investors
• Improve financial systems, controls, and reporting so the team can scale
• Develop and lead a finance team that takes ownership

What you bring

• Bachelor’s in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (graduate degree is a plus)
• 7+ years of accounting and finance leadership, including 2+ years managing people
• Strong multi-entity tax, close, budgeting, forecasting, and audit experience
• Solid grasp of GAAP, internal controls, treasury, and lender reporting
• Comfort being both strategic and hands-on

About the CPA

CPA is preferred. It is not required if you bring meaningful hospitality industry experience. If you’ve lived in hotel P&Ls, STR reports, labor reporting, and brand or franchise compliance, we want to talk to you.

Bonus points for

• Hotel openings, property transitions, development, or construction finance
• Real estate or multi-entity operations background
• ERP and accounting platform experience
