Industrial Electrician / Controls Electrician

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Industrial Electrician to install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems, industrial controls, and instrumentation equipment. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with electrical wiring, control panels, PLC systems, and industrial electrical equipment.

Key Responsibilities

Install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain industrial electrical systems and equipment.
Read and interpret electrical blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams.
Install and wire electrical control panels, motors, switches, relays, and control devices.
Troubleshoot electrical and electronic control systems.
Work with Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs), Direct Digital Controls (DDC), and related equipment.
Perform electrical testing using multimeters and other diagnostic equipment.
Assist with instrumentation installation, calibration, and field testing.
Identify and resolve electrical malfunctions and equipment failures.
Ensure all work complies with applicable electrical codes and safety regulations.
Perform preventive maintenance and document completed work.

Qualifications

Previous experience as an Industrial Electrician, Controls Electrician, or Electrical Technician.
Strong knowledge of electrical systems, wiring, and troubleshooting.
Experience reading electrical schematics and technical drawings.
Familiarity with PLCs, control panels, and industrial automation systems.
Knowledge of electrical testing equipment and safe work practices.
Ability to work independently and troubleshoot complex electrical problems.
Experience with instrumentation and controls is highly desirable.

Preferred Qualifications

Technical degree, electrical apprenticeship, or equivalent hands-on experience.
Experience with industrial control systems and automation equipment.
Knowledge of electrical panel assembly and field installations.
Experience with DDC and PLC troubleshooting.
