Job Location: Romeoville Police Department at 1050 W Romeo Road, Romeoville, IL 60446 Hours: Monday - Friday from 2 pm - 10 pm Salary: $56,047.72 Salary Range: $56,047.72 - $77,562.41 Benefits: We offer great benefits for staff like Blue Cross and Blue Shield medical insurance at 12% cost to the employee, and free dental and vision insurance. Job Duties: This is specialized work in the assembly, classification, synthesis, and reporting of criminal identification, offense, arrest, and related police records. Employees work with considerable independence in the day-to-day operations of police records work. Work is performed under general supervision and in accordance with established operating policies and procedures.

Job Duties: This is specialized work in the assembly, classification, synthesis, and reporting of criminal identification, offense, arrest, and related police records. Employees work with considerable independence in the day-to-day operations of police records work. Work is performed under general supervision and in accordance with established operating policies and procedures.
- Reviews criminal reports and complaints; classifies them according to established procedures; searches records for possible criminal history on suspects.
- Receives and processes criminal warrants; prepares and maintains records of warrants received and served; returns served warrants to courts or issuing agencies.
- Assembles necessary documents and records for court; assists court officers in making tickets and documentation available during court sessions; records dispositions and continuance, and maintain data files.
- Assembles and transmits to court and State's Attorney's Office such documents as arrests, bond, tickets, and other information; logs, fingerprints, and files prisoner booking papers.
- Processes and files accident reports, traffic and parking tickets, tow reports, and other reports.
- Answers insurance company requests; periodically prepares reports and validates a listing of stolen vehicles, license plates, and other stolen property;
- Performs matron duties; assists in booking and searching female prisoners, as required.
- Receives requests for information and citizen complaints in person and by telephone.
- Performs related work as required.
- Minimum of two years of work-related experience in general clerical work and an office environment, preferably in a police department.
- Applicant must possess a valid high school diploma or GED.
