Registered Nurse (RN) - Med Surg Tele

Registered Nurse Medical-Surgical / Telemetry

Schedule: 12-hour day shifts

Assignment Details: Guaranteed hours: 36 hrs/wk for 3x12; 48 hrs/wk for 4x12

Requirements:

• Active RN license required
• BCLS certification required
• Minimum of 2 years of RN experience required
• Travel experience required
• Ortho experience required: total joint surgeries, fractures
• Neuro/post-op neurosurgery experience preferred
• Experience with a broad med-surg patient population

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to adult and geriatric patients in a medical-surgical and telemetry setting.
• Monitor and assess patients' health status through vital signs, symptoms, and laboratory data.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient care and recovery.
• Implement and follow Enhanced Recovery After Surgery (ERAS) protocols for post-surgical patients.
• Educate patients and families regarding health conditions and post-operative care.

Compliance / Notes:

• Orientation: 24 hours required
• Weekend requirement: Every other weekend
• Floating may be required within the scope to other MS/Tele floors
• Scrubs: Navy blue
• Vaccination: Flu vaccine required; COVID-19 vaccine not required
