Join us on this meaningful journey where your skills, compassion, and dedication will make a remarkable difference in the lives of those we serve.How you'll contributeA Diabetes Educator who excels in this role:Independently writes, communicates, and implements teaching interventions for patients, families, significant others.Delivers educational material using teaching principals and a variety of formats for new pediatric inpatients and outpatients in group and individual sessions.Delivers educational material appropriate for identified needs utilizing knowledge of growth and development for outpatients in group and individual sessions.Assists to maintain diabetes supplies.Provides back up and assists other staff, as necessary.What we're looking forMinimum Education Associate's Degree in Nursing OR Bachelor's degree in DieteticsYears of relevant experience may be substituted for required education.Basic Life Support Health Care Provider (BLS-HCP);Registered Dietitian Certification OR Registered Nurse (RN);Certified Diabetes Educator (CDE) (within 2 years of hire)Why join us:We believe that investing in our employees is the first step to providing excellent patient care.
