RN First Assistant

The Registered Nurse First Assistant assists the surgeon with exposure, hemostasis, closure, and other technical tasks during surgery, ensuring safety and optimal patient outcomes under the surgeon's supervision and in accordance with hospital policies.

Assists the surgical team to prepare and organize sterile supplies, instruments, equipment, and drapes for surgical procedures.

Assists the surgical team to position the patient for the surgical procedure in a manner to provide a safe patient experience.

Assists in providing visualization and utilizes appropriate techniques to assist with hemostasis.
