Job Responsibilities

• Conduct evaluations of patients in either inpatient or outpatient environments and develop personalized treatment protocols
• Implement physical therapy techniques targeting mobility, strength, balance, and overall functionality
• Engage in collaborative practices with nurses, physicians, case managers, and other rehabilitation specialists to optimize patient outcomes
• Provide education to patients and their families regarding therapeutic goals, discharge procedures, and at-home exercise regimens
• Maintain thorough documentation of evaluations, treatments, and patient progress according to facility standards and regulations
• Participate in multidisciplinary team discussions and interdisciplinary conferences to ensure cohesive care

Education Requirements

• Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) or equivalent from a recognized program

Certifications

• State licensure as a Physical Therapist
• CPR certification is a plus
• Additional specialized certifications (e.g., neurological, geriatric) are advantageous but not mandatory

Skills

• Prior experience is highly preferred
• Proven ability to manage patients with intricate medical and mobility challenges
