Role Responsibilities

·      Perform welding works according to approved drawings and quality specifications

·      Responsible to examine and measure work pieces to ensure conformance with specification

·      Identify potential welding problem and work out the solution

·      Able to read and interpret technical drawing and other written instructions and diagrams to perform welding works and requirements to produce work piece

·      Work with Supervisor to ensure welding works are carried out in a controlled manner

·      Perform MIG, TIG and other types of weld accordingly

·      Coordinate with Production for efficient installations

·      De-bur and grind metal as necessary to achieve proper surface texture

·      Improve and sustain housekeeping

·      Support in training as and when required

·      Any other duties and responsibilities assigned from time to time

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year direct working experience as a welder (preferably MIG welding) – equipment and procedures
• Able to read and understand work order, technical drawing and welding symbols
• Knowledge of health and safety procedures
• Physically fit to perform all duties relating to welding
• Team player, able to work with all levels
