HII-Mission Technologies is seeking a Systems Engineer in our Coos Bay, Oregon location. This position reports to the Site OIC/Deputy OIC. The selected candidate will be part of the team responsible for managing the day-to-day operations and technical readiness of the program and facility equipment. Provides technical expertise in support of 24/7/365 watch-standing duties; manages all program systems, equipment, and components. Troubleshoot system outages; coordinate with various agencies to maximize circuit readiness and minimize downtime; notify senior program personnel when anomalies or outages occur; qualify on all applicable equipment; maintain the habitability of program spaces; conduct preventive maintenance as required; review and update Standard Operating Procedures as required; provides Critical Information Requirements (CIR) to the chain of command.You will join a team that is mission-focused and leading the way in the next generation of defense technology. This role will provide relocation assistance to the most qualified candidate chosen if residing out of state.What You Will DoPerforms technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, cost and risk, and supportability and effectiveness analyses for total systemsAnalyses are performed at all levels of total system product to include: concept, design, fabrication, test, installation, operation, maintenance and disposalEnsures the logical and systematic conversion of customer or product requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraintsPerforms functional analysis, timeline analysis, detail trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into hardware and software specificationsProvides technical expertise for the installation, operation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of installed systemsPerforms duties as Power Control Station/ Power Safety Officer (PCO/PSO) oversees the conduct of routine and preventative maintenanceInforms the chain of command of any substantive changes to routine system configuration or capabilityDrafts daily/monthly/weekly watch bills in support of operational requirementsWhat We Are Looking For5 years of relevant experience with bachelor's in related field; 3 years of relevant experience with a master's in a related field: or High School Diploma or equivalent and 9 years of relevant experienceMust have a background in Electronic Maintenance, Information Systems or Telecommunication disciplinesExperience with the management of electronic equipment for preventive and corrective maintenance, configuration, and calibrationMust have experience in Safety Procedures when working with electronic equipmentAbility to identify and correct emergent problems involving technical and/or facility-related equipment, systems, and componentsExperience following quality assurance steps/checksTS/SCI clearanceMust be able to obtain/maintain base access credentialsMust be a U.S. citizenPreferred: Bonus Points For...Strong background in communications; fiber optics; electrical/electronic components; generators; AC/DC and high/low voltage theory and applicationThorough knowledge of the installation and maintenance of electrical/electronic components; working knowledge of Key Management InfrastructureExperience and operational knowledge of various Test EquipmentDevelop, review, and implementation of Policies and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP)Experience with Lifecycle Management of programs and various equipmentExperience with Information Systems, Network Infrastructure, Troubleshooting, and Program AnalysisPhysical Requirements Office, industrial, or shipboard environment. Capable of climbing ladders and tolerating confined spaces and extreme temperature variances.
