Pay Rate: $18.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

DayTimeTue01:30 PM - 09:30 PMSat10:00 PM - 06:00 AM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and/or contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government maritime location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or unusual activity in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with site contacts and/or public agencies as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings, grounds, perimeter areas, parking locations, and/or waterfront access points to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify conditions that may require attention.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and/or visitor information, and support access control procedures for restricted areas in accordance with site policies.
• Assist with traffic and pedestrian flow, observe vehicle activity, and report suspicious behavior, policy violations, and/or maintenance-related concerns to appropriate personnel.

Minimum Requirements:

• A TSA issued TWIC is required.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
