By joining us, you don’t just become part of our success story; you help shape the future and continue our rich legacy that started back in 1874.Join us as aField Superintendent - Modernization Your main responsibilitiesThe Candidate will be required to manage field technicians in the day-to-day operations of the installation of hydraulic, gearless and geared elevator modernizations. Actively participate in field surveys for prospective modernization projects and be involved in the preparation of modernization proposals and bids. Must be able to determine the scope of work required and manpower needed to complete the project in a timely and profitable manner.Additional responsibilities include: Build a team environment by leading field techniciansManage training and development of field technicians on established processes, tools and standardsFoster excellent communication among team members while maintaining good working relationships with the local unionAssure that each modernization project meets Company quality and safety standards, as well as all contract requirements.Monitor job completion and drive efficiencyImplement customer and Company requirements for quality, performance reliability and passenger safety for modernization projectsSupport the local sales team in estimating modernization bids and investigating and resolving customer complaintsDevelop a spirit of teamwork and dedication to quality among all employeesParticipate in Company professional development programs to enhance working knowledge of Elevator Company products, services and procedures Base Salary $113,400 - $141,700The above represents the typical salary range for this position. Revisions to the range may be considered based on your experience, education, location, demonstrated skills, and alignment with business priorities. Please note that the compensation listed reflects only base salary and does not include commissions or longer-term incentives.What you bringBachelor’s degree preferred OR 3 years of technical experience in the elevator industry or related field. Experience in installation and service of elevators/escalators preferred.Prior supervisory experience with a unionized workforce is preferred.Computer proficiency required.
