Secret Systems Engineer (Civil or Mechanical)

Job Description

Supports the on-site installation and fielding of NC3 communications systems. This role is focused on hands-on site engineering, ensuring all physical and infrastructure requirements are in place (cabling, antennas, power, and facilities) to successfully deploy systems.

Works directly at install locations to coordinate, validate, and support system integration and activation, applying systems engineering principles to ensure secure, resilient communications aligned with Air Force processes.

Provides support for system integration, testing, documentation, and risk identification during installation and fielding efforts. This is a field-focused role, not design/development heavy.

Skills and Requirements

Active Secret clearance (eligible for interim TS)

Experience with system installation, fielding, or deployment (DoD or telecom strongly preferred)

Hands-on experience with site infrastructure (cabling, antennas, power, or facilities)

Background in systems engineering, mechanical engineering, or civil engineering

Ability to work on-site supporting installation efforts

Understanding of system integration and testing in a field environment Active Top Secret clearance

Experience with NC3, SATCOM, or secure communications systems

Prior work on Air Force or DoD programs

Familiarity with RF, antenna setup, or comms infrastructure

Exposure to system engineering documentation or test/validation processes
