This individual thrives working independently with minimal supervision while also contributing as a valuable member of the team.A Day in the Life of the Shop AssistantSupport the Fabrication Department with sign assembly and production activitiesAssist the Paint Department with sanding, surface preparation, masking, and other pre-finish tasksOrganize, stage, and prepare materials, parts, and supplies for upcoming projectsPerform quality control inspections using company quality standards and checklistsMaintain clean, organized, and safe work areas throughout the facilityAssist with inventory organization and material managementLoad, unload, and transport materials throughout the shop as neededRun local errands to pick up supplies, parts, materials, and other business-related itemsWork closely with multiple departments to ensure resources are available and projects remain on scheduleProvide general shop support and assist with special projects as assignedA Few Qualifications This Person Must HaveAbility to accurately read a tape measureStrong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanshipExcellent organizational and time-management skillsAbility to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environmentStrong communication and teamwork skillsBasic computer skillsValid driver's license with an acceptable driving recordAbility to work independently and as part of a teamOther DutiesPlease note this job description is not designed to cover all activities, duties, or responsibilities required of the employee for this role.
