Senior Accountant - Financial ReportingThe Senior Accountant reports to the Accounting Manager and is responsible for ensuring compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles, corporate policies and external audits. The senior will assist in the monthly closing process and issuance of the financial statements along with technical accounting research and automation initiatives. The seniors will also assist in ad-hoc projects and improving efficiency and internal controls.Essential Knowledge, Skills & Licenses:Prepare and review financial statements, supporting schedules, and disclosures in accordance with U.S. GAAP for monthly and year-end reporting.Assist in the external audit and coordinate with the teams to ensure successful audit results and compliance.Support the month-end and year-end close processes, including account reconciliations and related financial reporting activities.Support on intercompany transactions, consolidations, financial statement presentation, and disclosure requirements.Analyze financial statement results, identify trends and significant fluctuations, and explain key variances.Support technical accounting initiatives, researching accounting guidance and new accounting standards to determine potential impact on current accounting treatment and prepare memos documenting the research and conclusions.Partner with cross-functional teams to evaluate new business activities and recommend accounting appropriate accounting treatments in accordance with U.S. GAAP.Identify and implement opportunities to enhance financial reporting processes, internal controls, and operational efficiency through automation, AI-enabled tools, and other emerging technologies.Support the development and implementation of automated reporting and analytical solutions to improve accuracy, efficiency, and scalability of accounting processes.Complete ad-hoc projects and analysis as determined by internal managementRequirements:Bachelor's or higher degree in Accounting or FinanceStrong working knowledge of GAAP and internal controls.3+ years accounting/finance experience; CPA a plus but not requiredPublic accounting and/or financial reporting experience preferred.Excel Word, Access and PowerPoint requiredKnowledge of SQL/Snowflake and/or Microsoft VB/Macros a plusHighly detail oriented and organized in workAbility to effectively communicate financial information.Ability to work cooperatively with all levels of employees, management, and external partners to maximize performance, problem solving and results.Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.Ability to identify process improvements and lead automation initiatives.Expected Pay for this role:$90,000 - $115,000 per yearThe exact starting compensation to be offered will be determined at the time of selecting an applicant for hire and will be dependent on a wide range of factors, including but not limited to geographic location, skill set, experience, education, credentials, and licensure when applicable.What do we offer?Medical, Dental, and Vision benefitsLife Insurance and Long-term disability plansFlexible Spending Account401K matchingEmployee Stock Ownership Program in a $18.2 Billion Company, plus company matchingWellness ProgramsMetro Tap Card and Metro-link Reimbursement (for Los Angeles, CA employees only)Career Path OpportunitiesDiscounts on Parks, Museums, Movie Tickets, and AttractionsAnnual Flu ShotPaid Vacations DaysPaid Sick daysPaid holidaysHGym (available in our Los Angeles, CA & Dallas, TX office)Rental Car Discounts, Dell Member Purchase ProgramUKG WalletAcknowledgement:We will consider for employment all qualified Applicants, including those with Criminal Histories, in a manner consistent with the requirements of applicable state and local laws, including the City of Los Angeles' Fair Chance Initiative for Hiring Ordinance.We are an equal opportunity employer and do not unlawfully discriminate in employment.
