You'll work closely with nephrologists and a multidisciplinary care team while developing meaningful, longitudinal relationships with patients.Why Join Clinical Renal Associates?Build a specialty: Comprehensive training and mentorship are available for APPs new to nephrology.Varied clinical experience: Care for patients across outpatient nephrology, inpatient hospital, and dialysis settings.Collaborative practice: Partner closely with experienced nephrologists and an interdisciplinary care team.Meaningful patient relationships: Help patients manage complex chronic kidney disease and ESRD while supporting better long-term outcomes.Professional growth: Develop advanced clinical expertise in one of the most rapidly growing areas of healthcare.Regional practice model: Coverage is organized geographically, with providers generally assigned to select hospitals and dialysis units within a defined area.Team-based support: Cross-credentialing across affiliated locations provides additional coverage and flexibility.What You'll DoAs an APP with Clinical Renal Associates, you'll play an important role in managing patients throughout the continuum of kidney disease.Outpatient NephrologyEvaluate and manage patients with chronic kidney disease and related conditions.Perform comprehensive histories and physical examinations and develop individualized treatment plans.Order and interpret laboratory testing and diagnostic studies.Manage medications and coordinate referrals and consultations.Provide education focused on kidney health, disease progression, treatment options, and prevention.Help patients become active participants in their care and treatment decisions.Dialysis CareManage hemodialysis and/or peritoneal dialysis patients in collaboration with the nephrology team.Assess and manage complications associated with ESRD, including anemia, hypertension, bone and mineral disorders, fluid/electrolyte imbalances, and vascular access issues.Monitor treatment response and adjust plans of care as appropriate.Coordinate continuity of care between dialysis units, hospitals, clinics, and other healthcare settings.Provide patient and family education and serve as a clinical resource to dialysis staff.Hospital/Inpatient CarePerform admission histories and physical examinations and participate in inpatient management.Evaluate patients with acute and chronic kidney disease and develop appropriate plans of care.Participate in discharge planning and coordinate follow-up care.Educate patients and families regarding treatment options and expected outcomes.Help ensure continuity of care between the hospital, dialysis setting, and outpatient clinic.Compensation & BenefitsStarting base salary: $110,000+, negotiable based on experienceUp to $20,000 productivity bonus opportunity$1,000 annual CME allowance5 CME days annually4 weeks of PTOSupportive onboarding and nephrology trainingWhat We're Looking ForNurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant with an active, unrestricted license in the state of practiceGraduate of an accredited NP or PA programNational board certification appropriate to the roleStrong clinical assessment, diagnostic, treatment planning, and patient management skillsExcellent communication and collaboration skillsCommitment to patient-centered care and clinical excellenceNephrology, dialysis, renal, hospital medicine, or critical care experience is highly valued—but not requiredThe Ideal CandidateWe're looking for clinicians who are curious, collaborative, and eager to grow.
