Oncology Certified Nurse (OCN)

We are seeking an experienced Oncology Certified Nurse (OCN) to join our outpatient clinic infusion team. In this role, you will provide specialized nursing care to patients undergoing chemotherapy, immunotherapy, biotherapy, blood product transfusions, and other infusions or injections. This position offers the opportunity to work in a supportive environment with a focus on patient-centered care.

Responsibilities include:

• Administer chemotherapy and immunotherapy treatments according to established protocols.
• Monitor patients for adverse reactions during infusion therapy and respond appropriately.
• Provide education and support to patients and their families regarding treatment plans and side effects.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive care for patients.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation within the EMR system.
• Manage and prepare infusion equipment and supplies.
• Assist with the management of blood products and antibiotics administration.
• Ensure compliance with safety and infection control guidelines in the infusion suite.

Qualifications include:

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license.
• Oncology Certified Nurse (OCN) certification preferred.
• Experience in outpatient clinic infusion settings.
• Proficiency in using EPIC/Beacon EMR systems.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively within a team-oriented environment.

This position operates on a 5-day workweek, with shifts from 08:00 AM to 04:30 PM.

The infusion suite consists of 8 chairs and 2 private bedrooms, providing a comfortable and efficient space for patient care. The expected nurse-to-patient ratio is 1:4, ensuring personalized attention to those receiving treatments.
