They are currently looking to add an experienced Estimator to their team. This is an opportunity to join a growing construction organization and play a key role in the preconstruction process, working on projects from initial plans and specifications through final bid. You\'ll have the opportunity to: Estimate a variety of commercial construction projects Work closely with Project Managers, Superintendents, subcontractors, vendors, and leadership Take ownership of estimates from initial review through bid submission Participate in the development of project budgets and bid strategies Build and maintain relationships with subcontractors and trade partners Review plans, specifications, scopes, and contract documents Identify potential risks, gaps, and opportunities before they become problems Be involved in projects from the earliest stages of development Work alongside an experienced construction team Build your career with an established organization and growing project pipeline If you enjoy dissecting a set of plans, finding the details everyone else missed, and getting a little too excited when your estimate comes together — you\'ll probably fit right in. Job Details Key Responsibilities: Prepare accurate and competitive cost estimates for commercial construction projects. Review drawings, specifications, and bid documents to determine project scope. Perform quantity takeoffs and detailed cost analyses. Solicit, evaluate, and compare subcontractor and supplier quotations. Develop complete bid proposals and assist with tender submissions. Identify value engineering opportunities and cost-saving solutions. Collaborate with project managers, clients, architects, engineers, and subcontractors throughout the preconstruction process. Maintain up-to-date pricing databases and estimating records. Attend site visits, pre-bid meetings, and project handovers as required. Qualifications: 8+ years of estimating experience within the commercial construction industry. Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and building systems. Ability to interpret construction drawings and specifications. Experience with estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite. Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills. Ability to manage multiple bids while meeting deadlines. Degree or diploma in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field is preferred but not required. Interested in hearing more?
