The Nursing Assistant assists patients with activities of daily living and provides basic nursing care to meet the physical, emotional and social needs of the patient, and is cross trained to Unit Associate. Assists with maintenance of a safe and clean unit environment. Performs miscellaneous duties as assigned. Responsibilities Provides direct observation of patient. Reduces patient risk for falls. Maintains a Safe Environment Demonstrates appropriate working behaviors while sitting in patient room. Patient Privacy Quality Assurance, Safety, Infection Control and professional growth. Qualifications Education: Required: High school diploma or GED. Experience: None License: None Certifications: BLS/CPR (AMERICAN HEART ASSN) CPI (Crisis Intervention) (60 days) Organization Description St. Marys Medical Center (SMMC), part of the Palm Beach Health Network, is a 420-bed acute care hospital in West Palm Beach.
