Database Administrator 2

- Current need is for a Database Administrator 2 to assist with migrating existing databases from one hosted platform to a new hosted platform. - Someone with knowledge of moving or migrating databases, as well as systems validation after migration. - Considerable working background in Microsoft SQL database administration. - Architecture and troubleshooting in a working environment. Database administration and backup/recovery management. - Working knowledge of backing up and restoring of production databases. - This role will fill day to daily break/fix incident response on our SQL environment. - Our SQL environment runs in a SQL Max platform hardware solution, dedicated for SQL performance. - The SQL version we are running range from 2008-2019. - We also have a small Oracle footprint, some experience in Oracle is great, but the primary focus will be SQL. - Other daily tasks may include utilized for running updates, restore, and recovery if or when required. - We are looking to free up some work for our dedicated DBA who is working primarily on project work and migrations. - Currently working on a SQL Mac migration project to move from an EOL hardware to a new solution.
