We are currently seeking a talented and dynamic water/wastewater engineer to join our team and drive business development efforts.
Position Overview
This role is ideal for a licensed professional engineer who is energized by relationship-building, strategic outreach, and identifying new opportunities. While you’ll understand the design process deeply, your primary purpose is to drive business development , strengthen client relationships, and position the firm for long-term success. Additionally, you’ll provide mentorship and support staff development of our growing team of engineers and design professionals; lending design and project management expertise to bolster project quality and facilitate a culture of innovation and excellence in design.
The ideal candidate will be a team-oriented, collaborative professional, with strong interpersonal engagement and communications skills. The selected incumbent will work with teams across multiple offices and design disciplines; which requires a strong commitment to inclusion and clear communication.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead business development initiatives across target markets, including outreach, networking, and strategic partnership cultivation
- Identify, qualify, and pursue new project opportunities aligned with the firm’s goals
- Represent the firm at industry events, conferences, and client meetings
- Collaborate with leadership to shape market strategy and growth plans
- Support proposal development, interviews, and presentations with compelling storytelling and design insight
- Maintain strong relationships with existing clients to encourage repeat business
- Track market trends, competitor activity, and emerging opportunities
- Work closely with design teams to ensure client needs and project goals are clearly communicated
- Provide mentorship and staff development to the Texas Engineering Team
- Assist Texas Engineering Team members with design solutions and quality assurance on client projects
