Pharmacy Technician

Pharmacy Technician Fairfax, VA

Pay From: $23 per hour

MUST:

• 3 years of experience as a pharmacy technician
• Experience working in a retail pharmacy a must
• Experience assisting patients on phone and in person
• Experience processing refills
• Strong computer skills and ability to verify insurance
• Experience following up on rejected prescriptions
• Strong customer service skills
• Comfortable working in a very fast paced environment
• Active Pharm Tech license in the state of VA
• If not certified in the state of Virginia must be nationally certified and willing to become state certified

DUTIES:

The Pharmacy Technicians duties include but are not limited to the following:

• Greet patients in person and over the phone in a very high volume setting
• Process prescriptions
• Verify insurance
• Follow up with insurance companies on rejected prescriptions
• Document patient information in computer system
• Provide customer service support
