Position Summary The primary function of a delivery driver is to safely and efficiently operate a commercial motor vehicle in compliance with company policies, Federal and State regulations, and deliver all freight undamaged. Work as a team player to deliver, load/unload materials while providing a world‑class customer service experience. Duties & Responsibilities Inspect truck/trailer for defects for safe operation. Safely load building materials onto flatbed or boom truck and unload products at commercial and residential job sites. Deliver materials to assigned area as directed by the customer while prioritizing personal safety and the safety of those around you. Maintain records required for compliance with State and Federal regulations. Report all accidents involving driver or company equipment. Have the stamina to lift heavy building materials up to 100+ lbs. for load/unload and provide excellent customer service skills and a professional attitude. Basic Qualifications High School diploma or GED. Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL). Minimum Class B license; Class A strongly preferred. Clear three‑year Motor Vehicle Report (MVR). Overall knowledge of Department of Transportation regulations. Core competencies include integrity, servant leadership, valuing diverse perspectives, and a positive, humble attitude. Ability to work independently and on a team; lead, execute, delegate, and collaborate as needed; establish and maintain effective working relationships at all levels and promote an inclusive working environment. Self‑management, initiative, proactivity, and drive results. Professional verbal and written communication skills with coworkers and customers. Physical Requirements Remain stationary while driving a commercial vehicle 40% of the time. Lift heavy building materials up to 80 lbs. for loading/unloading. Frequently handle materials weighing up to 80 lbs. while unloading flatbed; operate commercial motor vehicle and/or boom vehicle; position oneself to unload materials from flatbed or boom. Judge distance while delivering materials and/or operating boom. Communicate with management and coworkers and exchange accurate information in these situations. Work outside while making deliveries. Required Cognitive Skills Prioritize job sites and deadlines. Manage stress depending on customer deadlines. Multitask. Receive information and directions. Communicate solutions quickly if problems occur. Demonstrate sound judgment. The base salary for this position typically falls within the range of $25.87 to $32.93 per hour. Starting wage may vary based on a number of factors including, but not limited to, the position being offered, location, education, training, and/or experience. SRS Distribution offers additional competitive and non‑financial benefits. Hourly associates may be eligible for overtime based on business needs. Depending on the role, associates may also be eligible for performance‑based bonus programs, commissions, car allowance or automobile and fuel program, and reimbursement for travel expenses in accordance with company travel policy.
