Registered Nurse - Cardiac Telemetry (Night Shift)

This position offers a 12-hour night shift with weekends as scheduled.

Job Description

The Registered Nurse will provide care on the Cardiac Telemetry unit, attending to a diverse patient population including those recovering from heart procedures and managing chronic conditions. The role involves monitoring patient vitals, performing assessments, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to delivery optimal patient care.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and assess patient conditions, including reading and interpreting cardiac strips.
• Administer medications and manage titration of Heparin drips.
• Perform admissions and discharges, ensuring thorough communication and documentation.
• Collaborate with PCTs and other healthcare team members to manage patient care effectively.
• Assist with various procedures and patient activities of daily living.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Current RN license.
• BLS and ACLS certifications are mandatory.
• Experience in telemetry nursing and familiarity with cardiac care is preferred.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and provide support to colleagues.
