Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
Make an impact in the lives of young learners as a Special Education Teacher working with Pre-K students with mild to moderate needs. This rewarding contract position offers the opportunity to guide and support a small caseload in a supportive educational setting. The assignment runs from August 13, 2026, through June 3, 2027, providing the stability of a school-year schedule and the chance to build relationships in a classroom environment.
Key Qualifications:
- Active certification in Special Education for Pre-K or early childhood settings
- Previous experience in a special education classroom, ideally with young children
- Ability to adapt curriculum and instructional strategies for students with varying learning abilities
- Familiarity with IEP development and progress monitoring
- Strong collaboration and communication skills with staff and families
- Must be willing to complete fingerprinting requirements for Pre-K classroom compliance
Position Highlights:
- Serve a caseload of 13 Pre-K students with mild to moderate special needs
- Develop and implement individualized education programs
- Foster an inclusive, nurturing, and engaging classroom environment
- Collaborate with other educators, support staff, and families for student success
- Full-time, Monday through Friday, 37.5 hours per week
- Work scheduled from 7:15am to 3:15pm, allowing for consistent routines
- Position based on a school-year contract
