Assignment Details
- Duration: 13 weeks
- Schedule: 5x8‑hour shifts
- Shift Times: Variable starts (7 AM, 9 AM, 10 AM, or 11 AM)
Requirements
- Active California RN license
- BLS, ACLS, and PALS required
- Minimum 1 year of PreOp/PACU or perioperative experience
Responsibilities
- Provide pre‑operative and post‑anesthesia nursing care
- Perform pre‑op assessments and patient education
- Monitor patients in PACU and manage recovery from anesthesia
- Obtain and interpret vital signs, EKGs, and patient status changes
- Assist with endoscopy, general, orthopedic, and GI procedures
- Conduct follow‑up calls and discharge education
- Review patient history, medications, and surgical readiness
- Collaborate with surgical teams, anesthesia, and recovery staff
- Document patient care accurately using EMR ( Epic preferred )
