Aerotek is Hiring Forklift Operators in Lebanon, TN!Starting Pay: $20.00/hourShift Time: 6:00am-2:30pm Monday-FridayJob DescriptionThis role operates propane and electric sit-down forklifts to move steel, aluminum, and truck body components throughout a modern shop facility. The material handler loads and unloads trucks, supports production lines with timely delivery of materials, and helps maintain an organized and safe work area while collaborating with technicians across the shop.ResponsibilitiesOperate propane and electric sit-down forklifts to move steel, aluminum, and truck body components safely throughout the facility.Load and unload materials from trucks, racks, and staging areas in an accurate and efficient manner.Deliver raw materials to production lines and remove finished or scrap materials as required to support production flow.Verify materials against work orders, pick lists, or job travelers to ensure accuracy of shipments and inventory.Safely stack, store, and organize truck bodies and other materials in designated storage areas to maximize space and maintain order.Inspect materials upon receipt and during handling, and promptly report any damage, shortages, or discrepancies.Perform daily forklift inspections and basic maintenance checks to ensure equipment remains in safe working condition.Use pallet jacks and other material handling equipment as needed to move and stage materials.Assist with general cleaning and housekeeping tasks around the facility to maintain a safe and tidy work environment.Support other technicians and team members with material-related tasks and cross-functional assistance as needed.Essential SkillsProven sit-down forklift operating experience (sit-down forklift experience is required).Hands-on experience with propane and electric forklifts in a shop or warehouse environment.Material handling experience, including loading, unloading, and staging materials.Ability to use pallet jacks and related material handling equipment safely.Experience with shipping and receiving processes, including verifying materials against work orders, pick lists, or job travelers.Ability to safely stack, store, and organize large and heavy materials such as steel, aluminum, and truck bodies.Capability to perform daily forklift inspections and basic maintenance checks.Willingness to assist with cleaning around the facility and support other technicians as needed.Strong attention to safety, detail, and accuracy when handling materials.Additional Skills & QualificationsPrevious experience working in a shop, manufacturing, or industrial environment.Familiarity with handling steel, aluminum, and large fabricated components.Comfort working collaboratively with production teams and technicians.Ability to adapt to changing priorities and support various material handling tasks throughout the day.Why Work Here?You join a growing operation that offers steady first-shift hours from 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., giving you predictable days and evenings free.
