They will maintain close working communication with pharmacists and other Pharmacy technicians regarding the various department programs. Essential Job Duties: Pharmacy Technicians are responsible for preparing drug orders according to established policies, procedures and protocols, and within specified time frame. The Technician operates automation technology, under the supervision of a registered pharmacist, (Pyxis, computers, unit dose machines, etc). The Pharmacy Tech issues controlled substances, under the supervision of a registered pharmacist, to patient care areas and maintains records as required by law. Performs the essential functions relating to drug purchasing and inventory control.Qualifications:Minimum 1 year of pharmacy technician experience.
