bout the Role

HeyTutor has partnered with a non profit organization located in Prince George Maryland to provide high-impact, in-person tutoring to high school students. Applicants must have completed an Associate’s degree or higher, or be currently enrolled in college.

We are hiring Math Tutors to support students in grades 9th-12th for an after school program. This is a great opportunity for college students, aspiring educators, and education professionals looking for consistent hours, competitive pay, and meaningful work in their community.

An in-person background check is required.

Pay & Benefits

• $22-$30 per hour, based on education and experience

Schedule

• Monday–Friday availability required
  
  
• Must be available between 3:00-7:00pm 

Requirements

• Completed AA degree or higher, OR currently enrolled in college (required)
  
  
• Experience working with high school students preferred
  
  
• Comfortable tutoring high school math
  
  
• Ability to manage large groups of students independently
  
  
• Comfortable working in a classroom setting
  
  
• Ability to pass an FBI-DOJ in-person background check 

Key Responsibilities

• Tutor groups of students without direct teacher supervision
  
  
• Deliver lessons using provided curriculum and materials
  
  
• Create an engaging, welcoming learning environment
  
  
• Support positive student behavior and participation
  
  
• Track attendance and student progress using the HeyTutor Dashboard
  
  
• Assist with student assessments when requested
  
  
• Clock in/out daily using Deputy
  
  
• Complete additional duties as assigned
