CNA - LTC/SNF

Job Summary:
Provides essential nursing and restorative care to residents in a skilled nursing facility by assisting licensed nursing staff and ensuring resident comfort and safety. This role involves performing fundamental patient care tasks within established policies and procedures.

Responsibilities:

• Deliver basic nursing assistance and restorative services under supervision of LPNs and RNs.
• Attend report and communicate significant resident observations, environmental issues, and supply needs to licensed personnel.
• Support residents with personal hygiene, including bathing, grooming, dressing, and skin care treatments.
• Assist residents with ambulation, positioning, transfers, and nutrition, including feeding, hydration, and waste elimination.
• React to emergency situations, ensuring resident safety while following facility policies, such as fire drills and fall prevention.
• Maintain confidentiality, safety, and respect for residents’ rights and spiritual beliefs, promoting participation in their care.

Qualifications:

• Pass a minimum of 1 year of current CNA experience.
• Be willing to float between units as needed.
• Possess or be willing to obtain a state CNA license.
• Hold valid BLS (AHA) certification.
• Previous travel or rural facility experience is highly preferred.
• Have excellent communication, observation, and patient care skills.
