Cook responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Prepare meals for residents and families, special events, etc.following federal, state and local regulations. The cook prepare meals according to recipes and safe food handling practices. Works well in team environment. The Cook maintains kitchen standards and expectations. Demonstrates and maintains a positive, professional manner, manages time efficiently and effectively, and has a passion to care for the elderly. The cook directly supervises the dietary aides. Cook Qualifications: Would prefer individuals with previous experience working in a dietary setting with experience in food preparation, cleaning and customer service skills. Applicants must be able to work day and evening shifts as well as be available to work weekends. ServeSafe certification preferred, but, employment not contingent upon having this certification.
