Customer Service Representative City of Norfolk Towing & Recovery Office Part-Time | 24/7 Operations Payrate: $18.00 Job Overview the City of Norfolk Towing & Recovery Office is seeking a professional, dependable, and customer-focused Customer Service Representative to join our team. As a 24/7 operation, we are looking for flexible individuals who can adapt to a rotating schedule and provide exceptional service to customers in a fast-paced environment. This position is part-time, with scheduled hours ranging from 24 to 32 hours per week. Additional hours may be assigned based on departmental needs. Employees may also be contacted to cover unexpected scheduling gaps, making reliable communication and transportation essential. Training Schedule All new hires must complete a mandatory training period: Monday through Friday 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM First 4 weeks of employment After the training period, employees will transition to a rotating schedule that includes evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed. Schedule Requirements Must be available to work up to 5 days per week Rotating shifts required Weekend availability required Availability to cover unexpected shifts when needed Reliable phone communication and transportation required Key Responsibilities Provide outstanding customer service in person and over the phone Assist customers with towing and vehicle recovery inquiries Maintain accurate records and documentation Process information with a high level of accuracy Handle multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient operations Follow established policies and procedures Maintain professionalism when interacting with customers and coworkers Qualifications The ideal candidate will be: Responsible and accountable Flexible with scheduling requirements Possess reliable transportation Have a reliable form of communication Customer service oriented with previous customer service experience Able to multitask effectively Detail-oriented and highly organized A strong team player Demonstrate a solid attendance record with no prior attendance issues Able to work in a fast-paced environment Preferred Experience Previous customer service experience required Experience working in a high-volume office environment preferred Experience handling phone calls, data entry, or administrative tasks is a plus Weekly pay and benefits available! #INDVB #J-18808-Ljbffr
