Production Support Coordinator

Job Description Required Education: High School or Equivalent Required Skills/Experience: 2+ years of experience in a manufacturing, industrial engineering, production support, or engineering technician environment. Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety, quality, and operational excellence. Ability to work collaboratively across production, engineering, quality, and maintenance teams. Proactive mindset with a focus on identifying and resolving issues before they impact operations. Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Preferred Experience: Experience with Lean Manufacturing, continuous improvement initiatives, or process optimization projects is preferred. Experience with ERP, MES, or manufacturing tracking systems is a plus. Required Skills: Excellent communication and problem-solving skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel. Lean Methodology — intermediate level; applying lean principles to reduce waste, improve workflow efficiency, and support continuous improvement initiatives. Manufacturing Design and Methodology — intermediate level; supporting process development, tooling implementation, and manufacturing readiness activities. Manufacturing Process Optimization — intermediate level; analyzing and improving production processes to enhance quality, productivity, and equipment utilization. Productivity and Performance — intermediate level; tracking operational metrics and implementing improvements to achieve manufacturing targets. Continuous Improvement — developing level; identifying opportunities for process enhancements and participating in Kaizen events and improvement projects. Problem Solving — developing level; diagnosing manufacturing issues and supporting corrective and preventive actions. Job Responsibilities: Support manufacturing engineering activities to improve safety, quality, productivity, and cost performance within production operations. Develop, maintain, and update manufacturing documentation including work instructions, standard operating procedures (SOPs), process flows, and production layouts. Assist in implementing continuous improvement initiatives using Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies. Analyze production processes and equipment performance to identify opportunities for efficiency improvements and waste reduction. Participate in root cause analysis and corrective action activities for quality and production concerns. Assist with capacity planning, line balancing, and implementation of new manufacturing processes and technologies. Ensure compliance with safety, quality, environmental, and operational standards.
