Compensation: $50-60/hr

We are seeking an experienced Financial Systems Analyst to provide hands-on administration, production support, and maintenance for a law firm's core financial applications, with a primary focus on Elite 3E .


This is a highly hands-on position supporting Accounting and Finance teams with day-to-day system issues, troubleshooting, data corrections, security administration, reporting, and ongoing financial processes. The ideal candidate has strong experience supporting Elite 3E in a law firm environment and can quickly take ownership of a production environment with minimal oversight.


This person will serve as a key technical resource for Accounting and Finance while also working directly with attorneys, legal assistants, vendors, and other business stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

• Own day-to-day Elite 3E production support for Accounting and Finance teams.
  
  
• Monitor and manage the Financial Systems support queue, prioritizing urgent production issues and routine requests.
  
  
• Troubleshoot Elite 3E application and data issues and make corrections directly within the system.
  
  
• Administer 3E security, user setup, roles, permissions, and system access .
  
  
• Support financial processes across billing, collections, accounting, time entry, and reporting .
  
  
• Investigate financial data discrepancies and determine the underlying system or data issue.
  
  
• Independently write and troubleshoot SQL queries, including joins , to pull, analyze, and validate data.
  
  
• Review automated reports and investigate discrepancies or inaccuracies.
  
  
• Support financial reporting and dashboard initiatives using SQL and reporting/BI tools.
  
  
• Monitor data integrity and troubleshoot application, database, and integration issues.
  
  
• Support month-end and year-end financial system processing.
  
  
• Partner directly with Billing and Collections Managers, Accounting leadership, and other business stakeholders to resolve issues.
  
  
• Coordinate with software vendors and IT teams as necessary while maintaining ownership of issues through resolution.
  
  
• Assist with testing, deployment, and validation of application upgrades, patches, and enhancements.
  
  
• Document system configurations, support procedures, and recurring operational processes.
  
  
• Participate in knowledge transfer and quickly become an independent owner of the Elite 3E production environment.
  
  

Required Qualifications

• 3 years of hands-on Elite 3E production support experience.
  
  
• Recent experience supporting Elite 3E within a law firm environment .
  
  
• Demonstrated experience troubleshooting and correcting Elite 3E application and data issues directly within the system.
  
  
• Hands-on experience administering 3E security, users, roles, permissions, and access .
  
  
• Strong understanding of law firm financial processes, including accounting, billing, and collections .
  
  
• Strong SQL skills with the ability to independently write queries using joins , pull and validate data, and troubleshoot existing queries.
  
  
• Experience investigating financial data discrepancies and supporting reporting requirements.
  
  
• Ability to independently manage a production support queue and appropriately prioritize issues.
  
  
• Experience working directly with Finance/Accounting stakeholders and software vendors.
  
  
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  
  
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  
  
• Ability to work independently and quickly take ownership of an existing environment.
  
  

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Elite 3E upgrades or implementations .
  
  
• Experience supporting Intapp applications.
  
  
• Experience with BigHand BI .
  
  
• Experience with SSRS and/or Power BI .
  
  
• Experience with financial system integrations.
  
  
• Experience with ODDR, Nth Degree, Emburse, Data Insights, AFS/Xcelerate, or similar legal financial applications.
  
  

Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate is a hands-on Elite 3E professional who understands both the technical and financial sides of the system . You should be comfortable working directly with Accounting and Finance when something isn't functioning correctly, investigating the issue, working with the underlying data or files, and making the appropriate correction in 3E.


This position is best suited for someone who has actively owned a 3E production environment rather than someone whose experience has been primarily strategic, project-management focused, or limited to using 3E as an end user.


You should be comfortable entering an established environment, completing knowledge transfer, and quickly becoming a self-sufficient resource for the firm's financial systems.
