Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented Accounts Receivable Specialist to help manage customer invoicing, payment processing, and account reconciliation. This is a full-time, entry-level position with our client, a national specialty chemical company with offices in Bessemer, Alabama. This is a great opportunity for someone with accounts receivable experience looking to grow within a stable, established organization.

Responsibilities

• Generate and send customer invoices accurately and on time
• Post and apply incoming payments to the correct customer accounts
• Monitor accounts receivable aging and follow up on outstanding balances
• Reconcile customer accounts and resolve discrepancies
• Communicate with customers regarding billing questions and payment status
• Prepare AR reports and support month-end close activities
• Maintain organized and accurate records of invoices, payments, and correspondence

Qualifications

• Experience in accounts receivable, billing, or a related accounting support role
• Basic understanding of reconciliation and accounting principles
• Experience with QuickBooks and Excel
• Strong attention to detail and documentation skills
• Ability to communicate professionally with customers and internal teams
