MIXER-
Job Purpose: Setup and operate assigned machine(s) to weigh, mix and/or blend rubber and other chemicals into a homogeneous mixture.
Job Requirements:
- Load specified amounts of materials as directed by SOP into machinery or equipment.
- Transfer materials, supplies, or products between work areas, using powered/non-powered transportation equipment and/or hand tools.
- Examine materials, ingredients, or products per SOP to ensure conformance to established standards.
- Operate machines per SOP to mix or blend ingredients to specific standard conditions.
- Clean and maintain equipment as directed targeting a 5S approach.
- Monitor accessory equipment, such as pumps or conveyors, to assure compliance with all standards of production process.
- Follow work orders to determine production schedule, specifications and compliance to standards.
- Weigh or measure materials, ingredients, or products to ensure conformance with requirements.
- Collect samples of materials or products for laboratory testing.
- Unload mixtures into containers or onto conveyors for further processing.
- Dislodge and clear jammed materials or other items from machinery or equipment as needed while maintaining SOP for safety and quality.
- Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by following company standards and procedures; complying with legal regulations.
- Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading technical publications.
- Notifies maintenance department of machine malfunction.
