System Administrator (Lenel) - Norfolk, VA

CNIC Regional Offices aim to improve operational performance and reduce costs through business process definition, analysis, and development of technical capabilities to automate processes or enhance transparency for analytics and decision-making. We have an exciting opportunity supporting the United States Navy and our CNIC N6 program at Naval Station Norfolk, VA . This position is contingent upon your ability to maintain/transfer your Secret Clearance Responsibilities Support installation, testing, and maintenance of patch panels, fiber enclosures, and network racks. Support development, design, configuration/setup, testing, maintenance, and upgrade of the application hosting environment using virtualization platforms such as VMWare ESXi, Hyper-V, or others. Support implementation, configuration/setup, testing, maintenance, and upgrade of Host Based Security System (HBSS), including security policy derivation and configuration. Perform regular log audits within virtual environments, storage systems, or other components. Assist in acquiring or developing Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) certificates, including internal PKI setup if necessary. Upload artifacts like ACAS, SCAP scans, and STIG checklist files to repositories such as eMASS and VRAM. Implement applicable Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs) and address all security requirements, including IAVAs. Conduct regular security scans using approved tools like ACAS. Support network infrastructure authorization via the Risk Management Framework (RMF) or other security processes. Configure and address security issues in HBSS. Install, configure, maintain, upgrade, and administer environment monitoring systems. Perform regular patching of operating systems and firmware. Monitor vendor support status, especially EOL and EOS. Be on-call as needed for urgent support within your area of responsibility. Conduct daily start-up procedures for CCTV, monitors, Lenel On Guard, and verify system functionality. Provide support to the MSC PAC Security Director. Qualifications To succeed in this role, you will have: An active Secret security clearance An up-to-date 8570 IAT Level II certification Windows Server or VMWare certification A Bachelor's degree or a High School Diploma with a minimum of 9 years of relevant technical training in IT, Cybersecurity, or related fields At least 5 years of relevant experience in IT, Cybersecurity, or related disciplines Knowledge and experience in installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting virtualized environments with VMWare ESXi, server blades, Windows Server, SQL Servers, etc. Experience with Lenel OnGuard; certification required Experience with system hardening, ACAS, SCAP, HBSS Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications Desired additional skills: Knowledge of the RMF process Company Overview Serco Inc. is part of Serco Group, plc, with over 9,000 employees across North America.
