Tool Crib Attendant

B&T USA is seeking an experienced Tool Crib Attendant. The Tool Crib Attendant is responsible for managing the tool distribution in the machine shop. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Maintain tool functionality - receive, inspect, and catalog incoming tools and equipment Organize and maintain the tool crib to ensure easy access and efficient storage Issue tools and equipment to employees as needed, keeping accurate records of all transactions Gather and kit tools needed for upcoming jobs Perform regular inventory counts to ensure the accuracy of stock levels Collaborate with the engineering and procurement team to procure necessary tools and equipment Coordinate with vendors for tool repairs or replacements as needed Assist in demand planning by analyzing usage patterns and forecasting future needs Analyze tool-related issues to prevent recurrence Required Education and Experience High school diploma or GED required. Previous experience in an industrial environment with familiarity of machinery and tools. Understanding of tools and equipment, and ability to perform minor maintenance tasks. Strong materials handling skills, with the ability to safely handle various tools and equipment. Ability to maintain accurate records of tool equipment, including tracking quantities, monitoring usage, scheduling repairs, and ordering replacements as needed. Basic computer proficiency with MS Office (Excel and Word); familiarity with inventory‑management software is a plus. Must meet ATF requirements for firearm possession. Work performed in a manufacturing machine‑shop environment. Exposed to machine‑shop manufacturing elements such as noise, dust, odors, fumes, etc. Fast‑paced environment. Must be able to access and navigate B&T’s facilities. Physical Requirements Ability to lift and carry up to 30 lbs. Ability to stand for extended periods of time. Frequently required to stand, walk, reach with hands and arms, and stoop or crouch.
