Job Title: Packaging Associate
Pay Rate: $17.50/hour
Location: Worcester, MA
Employment Type: Temp-to-Hire
Schedule: Monday–Friday, (7am-3:30pm)
Position Overview
A manufacturing and distribution company is seeking dependable Packaging Associates to support production and shipping operations. This role is responsible for packaging products, preparing materials for shipment or storage, and maintaining quality and accuracy throughout the packing process.
This is an entry-level opportunity with on-the-job training provided.
Key Responsibilities
- Package products and components according to company and shipping guidelines
- Prepare boxes, cartons, crates, and other shipping materials for outgoing orders
- Label, seal, and secure packages to ensure safe transport and proper identification
- Perform basic visual inspections of products and maintain quality records as needed
- Report quality or packaging concerns to the appropriate supervisor
- Maintain a clean and organized workstation and work area
- Use packaging tools and equipment safely and effectively
- Support additional production or warehouse tasks as assigned
Qualifications/Required Skills
- Strong attention to detail and ability to perform repetitive tasks accurately
- Good organizational and time-management skills
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
- Comfortable working in a team-oriented production environment
- Ability to safely use packaging tools and equipment
Experience
- Previous manufacturing, warehouse, packaging, or production experience is helpful but not required
- Entry-level candidates encouraged to apply
- On-the-job training provided
Work Environment & Physical Requirements
- Position involves prolonged standing and repetitive hand movements
- Frequent visual attention to detail required
- Occasional lifting of materials up to 25 pounds
- Manufacturing environment may include varying temperatures, dust, or moderate noise levels
- Standard safety procedures and protective equipment may be required
