Job Title

This position is responsible for transporting children and coordinating and supervising visitation between children and families to support safe and positive family interactions.

Job Description and Functions

Open until filled. This position is responsible for transporting children and coordinating and supervising visitation between children and families to support safe and positive family interactions. The successful candidate will also receive and process reports of abuse and neglect involving children and vulnerable adults. Reports are received in person, by phone, and through email, and must be accurately documented and entered into the department's data management system.

In addition, this position provides support to professional social services workers and assists public social services agency staff with daily case management activities. The role requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, professionalism, and the ability to work compassionately with individuals and families in sensitive situations.

Qualifications

Preferences: Agency requires that the successful applicant possess a valid driver's license. Knowledge: Knowledge of parenting. Knowledge of policies regarding child protection and benefits. Knowledge of the community or institution to be served.

Minimum qualifications: Education: High School Diploma or equivalent. Experience: 0-2 years of progressive work experience (typically in Social Services Programs) OR Education & Experience Substitution: 1-3 years of progressive work experience (typically in Social Services Programs). Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: None

Necessary Special Requirements

Physical working conditions: This position takes place in an average work environment. Notes: FLSA: Non-exempt. All positions within the Department of Family Services will require a background information check, including taking fingerprints, which will be completed through the Wyoming Department of Criminal Investigation, the Department of Family Services, and the Federal Bureau of Investigation for every successful applicant.
