Contract | 13-Week Travel Assignment | Full-Time | Days (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM) | Onsite | Every Other Weekend Required

Key Responsibilities

• Provide routine and complex nursing care utilizing the nursing process, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation for assigned telemetry patients.
• Manage a patient population that includes MI, CHF, arrhythmias, PVD, and med-surg overflow; manage cardiac drips as appropriate per protocol.
• Administer medications and treatments using appropriate protocols; monitor for side effects and treatment effectiveness.
• Address psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families in accordance with scope of practice.
• Document patient history, symptoms, medications, and care provided accurately and in a timely manner.
• Assess learning needs and provide education to patients, family members, and caregivers; identify issues and connect with appropriate resources.

Required Qualifications

• Current RN license in state of employment or valid compact license.
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) required.
• ACLS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) required.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in a telemetry or related nursing specialty.
• Ability to float to other units when needed.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
• Prior experience managing cardiac drips and caring for cardiac patient populations including MI, CHF, and arrhythmias.
