Staff Accountant

Accountant - Onsite (Otay Mesa, CA)

Schedule: Full-time onsite

Pay: $46 - $57/hour
Summary

Seeking an Accountant to perform professional-level accounting work including financial reporting, reconciliations, budgeting, and analysis. This role supports month-end close, audits, and process improvements while operating with moderate independence.
Key Responsibilities

• Prepare journal entries, reconciliations, and month-end close activities
• Analyze revenues, expenses, and financial performance
• Support budget preparation and financial reporting
• Perform cash flow forecasting and bank reconciliations
• Maintain general ledger accounts and audit schedules
• Assist with AP, AR, and payroll-related accounting functions
• Prepare reports for regulatory and government agencies
• Identify and implement process improvements and internal controls

Requirements

• 2+ years of accounting experience
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business
• Knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting
• Strong analytical and organizational skills

Nice to Have

• Experience in government, municipal, or utilities industries
