Registered Nurse - Medical Telemetry / IMC

Location: Portland, ME

Assignment Duration: This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule: 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM

Job Description: We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse for our Medical Telemetry / IMC unit. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality patient care and work collaboratively with the healthcare team to support patients with various medical conditions. This position requires proficiency in managing complex cases and ventilator settings.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and interpret telemetry data.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Provide care for patients with respiratory needs, including those on ventilators, BiPaP, and CPAP.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team for effective patient management.
• Educate patients and families about health conditions and care plans.
• Ensure adherence to safety and quality standards in patient care.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 1-2 years of nursing experience in a similar specialty.
• Current RN license in the state of Maine.
• BLS certification.
• Ventilator management experience is required.
• Familiarity with tracheostomy care and telemetry interpretation.
