Mechanic Helper

- Perform routine, preventative maintenance such as changing oil, check batteries and lubricate equipment and machinery.
- Assist mechanics with repairs
- Follow procedures to fuel and park CDL required vehicles. Driver, fuel, and park on company property only.
- Repair and/or install tires.
- Report discrepancies and safety hazards on all vehicles and properties on the appropriate forms.
- The ability to work a flexible schedule - Days, Nights, Weekends, and Holidays.
- Ability to work independently over long periods of time within the scope of established rules and regulations.
- Ability to drive on company property only a vehicle that is 27 feet to 33 feet in length in a safe, competent manner.
- Ability to determine the type of tool and equipment needed to do a job.
- Ability to watch gauges, dials, or other indicators to make sure a machine is working properly.
- Ability to use equipment or materials as specified in this job description.
- Ability to understand manufactures specifications, service, and repair manual.
- High school graduate or equivaled preferred
- Mechanical background helpful
- Must pass pre-employment backkground check and substance abuse testing.
- Valid TN Driver's License with acceptable driving record for the past three years preferred
- Must supply own hand tools and toolboxes.
