Field Reimbursement Manager - Northwest

Overview:

The Field Reimbursement Manager (FRM) serves as the access and coverage subject matter expert for Alnylam products. The FRM educates healthcare providers (HCPs) and office staff on reimbursement processes, payer requirements, coverage considerations, and patient support resources to help support appropriate patient access. This role assesses access-related barriers, partners closely with field sales and regional leadership, and coordinates with the Hub on individual patient cases, including referrals, enrollment support, missing information, and overall case coordination. The FRM collaborates cross-functionally with the Field Reimbursement Director, Field Sales, Patient Services Case Management, matrix partners, and Specialty Pharmacy Account Liaisons while operating in accordance with all applicable corporate, industry, and compliance policies and procedures.

The territory will cover Alaska, Washington, Oregon, Idaho, Montana, Wyoming and Nebraska.

Responsibilities:

• Analyze payer criteria and access requirements across medical and pharmacy benefit designs.
• Demonstrate urgency in identifying and addressing access barriers that may affect time to treatment.
• Provide HCP offices with product access expertise, including education on reimbursement pathways, coverage requirements, prior authorization, appeals, and payer processes.
• Partner collaboratively with Alnylam colleagues to support consistent patient services education and coordinated field execution.
• Educate HCPs and office staff on Alnylam Assist enrollment, program offerings, missing information requirements, reimbursement resources, financial assistance, and Hub tools.
• Liaise with Specialty Pharmacy Account Liaisons, as appropriate, for products covered under the pharmacy benefit.
• Monitor and communicate relevant commercial, Medicare, Medicaid, and government payer coverage updates that may impact patient access in the assigned geography while being a subject matter expert on the relevant payers in the territory.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree required; equivalent experience may include 1.5+ years as a field reimbursement specialist, 2 years in specialty pharmaceutical medical benefit sales or 2+ years as a biologic coordinator or office practice manager.
• Experience navigating prior authorization and appeals processes for pharmacy and medical benefit coverage.
• Cardiology or rare disease experience preferred.
• Proven experience working with Hubs and strong understanding of Hub activities, including prior authorization, appeals, and payer-specific access processes.
• Knowledge of commercial payers, Medicare plans, and state Medicaid programs within the assigned geography.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel, including overnight and/or weekend travel as required.

The pay range below reflects the full-time base salary range we expect to pay for this role at the time of posting. Base pay will be determined based on a number of factors including, but not limited to, relevant experience, skills, and education. This role is eligible for an annual short-term incentive award (e.g., bonus or sales incentive) and an annual long-term incentive award (e.g., equity).
