Site Safety Manager

Job Title: Traveling Bilingual Safety Manager Location: On Site - Saint Francisville, Louisiana, United States Skills: OSHA About the Construction Company / The Opportunity: A leader in the Construction industry focused on structural steel and industrial projects is seeking a Site Safety Manager to reinforce a strong safety culture and ensure regulatory compliance on active job sites. This role offers the opportunity to lead safety programs, influence safe work practices across crews and subcontractors, and directly impact project delivery and workforce well-being on large-scale construction projects in Louisiana and Texas. Responsibilities: Conduct routine jobsite safety inspections and audits to ensure compliance with OSHA 29 CFR 1926 and company safety standards. Monitor steel erection activities including fall protection, scaffolding, crane operations, rigging, aerial lifts, and heavy equipment use. Lead daily safety meetings, toolbox talks, orientations, and deliver safety training for employees and subcontractors. Identify workplace hazards, implement corrective actions, and drive initiatives to prevent incidents and injuries. Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses; prepare required documentation and reports. Maintain accurate safety records, inspection reports, training documentation, and incident logs; update records in company systems such as BambooHR. Accompany OSHA inspectors, clients, and safety representatives during site visits and audits and coordinate responses. Support project teams and HR by transporting employees for medical evaluation or testing when directed and performing other safety-related duties as assigned. Must-Have Skills: Proven construction safety experience (minimum ~5 years), preferably in structural steel erection or industrial construction. Strong knowledge of OSHA construction safety standards, including fall protection , scaffolding, and heavy equipment safety. OSHA-related certifications required (OSHA 510 and OSHA 30-Hour Construction Certification; OSHA 500 preferred) and verifiable training credentials. Current First Aid/CPR/AED certification. Ability to conduct inspections, incident investigations, and enforce safe work practices in high-risk environments. Bilingual English/Spanish communication skills.Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record and readiness to travel between project sites. Nice-to-Have Skills: CHST, STSC, or other advanced safety certifications. Experience as an OSHA 500 trainer or completion of OSHA 500 trainer course. Familiarity with HR/safety systems (e.g., BambooHR) and safety record management. Additional credentials such as NCCER, CDL, TWIC, or welding certifications relevant to construction site safety. #J-18808-Ljbffr
