Being a Senior DevOps Engineer at iManage Means…
You are an engineer, a builder, and a systems thinker — the person other engineers turn to when a 
development problem gets hard. You'll create CI/CD and platform guardrails that empower developers to innovate quickly and reliably, combining deep technical judgment with empathy to eliminate developer pain, especially when working with teams stewarding the world's most privileged data.

You uplift those around you,  act as a subject matter expert, and drive change across Backend/Platform 
Engineering and beyond. You chase contributing factors over root causes, value code over documentation, and documentation over process. You'll reduce toil, and deliver scalable, resilient platforms that support our customers and organization.

As a Senior DevOps Engineer reporting to the DevOps Lead, you'll help scale our Kubernetes-based cloud platform, lead large-scale infrastructure migrations, and set technical direction for observability, change management, and service scalability. You'll be a key voice as we modernize our CI/CD and infrastructure-as-code practices.

iManage is experiencing explosive growth in its flagship cloud product. We're looking for a senior-level systems engineer specializing in reliability and platform services to help lead our transformative cloud journey, including migrating legacy workloads onto our AKS-based platform. This requires rethinking technical decisions with a beginner's mindset and a focus on resilience and sustainability. iM Responsible For…

• Leading the design and execution of large-scale development infrastructure, supporting dozens of engineering teams.
• Eliminating toil through automation and software development, and mentoring other engineers in doing the same.
• Owning infrastructure-as-code and GitOps practices — Terraform, Helm, and ArgoCD — that provision and manage our cloud environments.
• Modernizing CI/CD pipelines, including our transition from Jenkins to GitHub Actions, and defining the branch protection, environment promotion, and rollback standards used across engineering.
• Partnering cross-functionally with application teams, SRE, and other internal stakeholders to unblock delivery and promote standardization.
• Supporting a modern, cloud-native platform that is resilient, cost-effective, and secure by default.
• Serving as an escalation point for pipeline and platform triage, supporting engineering teams working worldwide.

iM Qualified Because I Have…

• 5 – 8 years of experience in DevOps, SRE, or platform engineering roles, with a track record of leading technical initiatives independently.
• Experience writing design documents and postmortems, and refactoring application code when needed.
• Built automation to reduce the operational burden of a product, or developed internal, self-service tooling for other engineers.
• Hands-on experience with Kubernetes in production, including cluster operations, workload migrations, and troubleshooting.
• Practical experience with infrastructure-as-code (Terraform preferred) and GitOps-based continuous delivery (ArgoCD or similar).
• Experience building or maintaining CI/CD pipelines, including GitHub Actions or comparable tools.
• Ability to champion DevOps best practices, including reliability engineering concepts (SLOs, SLAs, and so on), and apply them effectively across teams.
• Experience working in a public cloud environment (Azure and AKS strongly preferred).
• A passion for mentoring other engineers and working collaboratively with other teams.

Bonus Points If I Have...

• Experience leading a legacy platform migration end to end.
• Hands-on experience with Linux server stacks (Ubuntu/Debian distributions preferred).
• Exposure to at least one configuration management platform (Chef preferred).
• Comfortability with observability and alerting tools (Prometheus/Grafana or ELK/EFK preferred).
• Familiarity with GitHub Apps, service identity, and secrets management (Azure Key Vault preferred) in a CI/CD context.
• A bachelor's degree (or equivalent experience) in Computer Engineering or a related field.
• Demonstrable proficiency in one or more programming languages (for example, Python, Java, or Golang).
• Familiarity with at least one scripting language (for example, PowerShell, Bash, Python, or Ruby).

The overall US annual base salary range for this position is $110,000 – 150,000 per year. Individual 
compensation for each candidate depends on factors such as qualifications, experience, and candidate location. This range does not include additional forms of compensation, such as bonuses, commission, or benefits.
