Registered Nurse - IMC/PCU/Stepdown

Job Description

Job Summary:

Seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse to provide specialized care in the ICU/CICU setting within a 16-bed unit. The role involves managing critically ill patients, performing advanced procedures, and working collaboratively with a dedicated team on a 13-week travel assignment.

Responsibilities:

-Deliver expert nursing care to critically ill cardiac and hemodynamically unstable patients.

-Administer titration of vesicant medications, pressors, sedatives, and paralytics.

-Perform advanced procedures including ventilator management, chest tube insertions, and PA catheter interpretation.

-Document patient status and interventions accurately using the Cerner system.

-Coordinate patient care with interdisciplinary teams, ensuring safety and compliance with protocols.

-Maintain unit equipment such as ventilators, telemetry devices, and infusion pumps.

Qualifications:

-Valid RN license with at least 2 years of recent ICU or PCU experience.

-Proficiency in ventilator management, telemetry interpretation, and hemodynamic monitoring.

-Experience with advanced cardiac procedures including cardioversion, transvenous pacing, and TEE.

-Familiarity with pressing medications, sedation, and paralytics required.

-Ability to adapt to fast-paced environments and float across units as needed.

-CCRANot required but highly preferred.
